Commercial Driver Medical Evaluation

Consistent with the mission of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), we provide medical evaluations to certify drivers with evaluations that focus on safety.  Our certified examiners are knowledgeable and experienced with federal regulations for commercial driving. The evaluation consists of reviewing medical history, physical examination, and urinalysis.

A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months. Sometimes, a medical examiner may issue a medical examiner's certificate for less than 24 months when it is necessary to monitor an on-going health condition, such as high blood pressure.

If the medical examiner determines that the driver is physically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle, the medical examiner will complete a Medical Examiner's Certificate and provide a copy of the results to the driver.

Our medical examiners are certified and listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov/search-medical-examiners)
