Scuba diver in the water

Professional Diving Medical Evaluation

We offer medical evaluations for professional divers which follow the medical standards of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS). The evaluation includes review of the diver’s medical history and a physical examination. Additional testing, such as blood tests, urinalysis, and EKGs may be included in the evaluation as needed. After the evaluation our Medical Director, who is a certified medical examiner of divers (DMAC Level 1), will provide a written report with a recommendation on the individual’s fitness to dive.

We comply with medical standards recommended by the American Academy of Underwater Sciences for SCUBA diving clearance

Dive exams vary depending on age.  Evaluation components may include: medical history (OSHA questionnaire), physical examination, blood tests, urinalysis, EKG, chest x-ray, spirometry, and exercise treadmill test.
