This month, the CDC is raising awareness about hearing. Loud noise exposure may occur in the workplace, at home, at loud concerts, sports events, or even the movies. To prevent hearing loss, protect yourself by becoming aware of your surroundings. Turn down loud music and take breaks from listening to loud music. Wear hearing protection (foam plugs or ear muffs) when you know you are going to be around loud noise. Your hearing is precious—protect it.
